Focus and Scope

The Journal of Law and Social Politics (JLSP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original research on the relationship between law and society, with particular emphasis on the legal dimensions of social justice, human rights, and governance. The journal examines the interplay between legal frameworks, public policy, and social change, drawing on both the Indonesian context and comparative international perspectives.

The journal welcomes submissions on topics including, but not limited to:

• Human rights, minority protection, and social justice
• Law, social inequality, and access to justice
• Criminal law, criminal justice policy, and governance
• Constitutional law, the rule of law, and social change
• Law, democracy, and political institutions
• Legal responses to contemporary social, economic, and environmental challenges

JLSP fosters interdisciplinary dialogue among legal scholars, sociologists, political scientists, and researchers in related fields. It welcomes doctrinal, empirical, and comparative legal methods, and seeks to advance rigorous, critical scholarship on the legal and social challenges facing contemporary societies.
